The Art of Rap: Something from Nothing

I just finished watching this with my white roommate and black roommate  And I must say that whether you come from a background of listening to rap… or despising it, the documentary by Ice T is a good starting point for understanding why it’s become one of the most wide spread world styles in music history.


Nas explaining why he believes that rap is still not as widely respected as other American genres like Blues and Jazz.
